Synopsis
A quiet town in the province of Udine, Cervignano, and old disused barracks. Here, in the rich Friuli, a few dozens kilometers from the Slovenian border are welcomed from 1991 to 1997 more than 1,500 refugees fleeing the war in the Balkans. An extra-ordinary story of exile and of welcome. A forgotten history to find the faces and voices of its protagonists.
Yesterday’s story, the paradigm of the stories crossing today’s Europe.
